GRAVHOUNDS Blueprints: Find, Scan and Track Progress

Find and scan Blueprints in GRAVHOUNDS, check remaining collectibles before deployment, and verify your planet progress after returning from a shift.

Updated

01

Check the planet briefing, then explore beyond the Collector

Open Master Control and check the selected planet's remaining Blueprint information, then investigate points of interest beyond the Collector's landing zone. When a Blueprint offers a Scan interaction while you hold it, complete that interaction and check the planet's Blueprint progress again after extraction.

02

Read the destination information before deploying

After the opening shift and your initial Turret research unlock, return to Master Control to choose a destination. The planet information can show remaining Blueprints alongside the mission objective. Yorezen Basin, for example, displays its mission type, available resource, challenge rating and remaining Blueprint count before deployment.

Use that information to decide whether to make time for exploration during the assignment. Take note of the displayed progress before leaving so you have something to compare when you return. Keep the mission objective in mind as well: a collectible hunt is easier to manage when you already know what needs protecting.

The playtest-to-demo update introduced Blueprint tracking on the Star Map, including information that updates as collectibles are obtained. That change belongs to the demo's update history. For your expedition, use the selected destination's displayed progress to check what remains.

Search points of interest outside the landing zone

Some Blueprints are away from the Collector, so staying beside your base throughout the shift can leave collectibles undiscovered. Investigate points of interest while working through the mission area. Enemy waves still threaten mission-critical structures during exploration, so watch the state of the defense before moving farther away.

In cooperative play, agree on who is exploring and who is watching the objective before the group spreads out. Describe the places you have checked so teammates can avoid repeating the same search. If the defense starts struggling, regroup and deal with the attack before extending the hunt.

Pay attention to the structure named in the mission, rather than watching only the Collector. A Fuel Pump can come under attack separately, and losing a mission-critical structure can end the attempt while your character is still alive. Keep those threats in mind when deciding whether a distant point of interest is worth investigating.

05

Complete the Scan interaction

  1. Approach the Blueprint you found during exploration to inspect its available interaction.
  2. Pick up the Blueprint using the available interaction so you can inspect the prompts while holding it.
  3. Check for the Scan prompt while the Blueprint is in your hands.
  4. Activate Scan and let the interaction complete to register the scan.
  5. Watch for the "TURRET BLUEPRINT HAS BEEN SCANNED" message to confirm success.

Finding the object and finishing its scan are separate parts of collection. Simply seeing a Blueprint or moving it toward the Collector does not establish that collection has registered. If you are still holding it and Scan remains available, finish that interaction before leaving the item behind.

06

Verify progress after extraction

When you return to mission selection, check the Blueprint progress for the destination you just visited. Use the planet's remaining-Blueprint indicator to see what you have missed. Compare it with the information you noted before deploying rather than relying only on remembering where you explored.

If progress is different from what you expected, review whether you completed Scan or only picked up the object. Keep a note of the destination and the interaction you performed. That makes it easier to distinguish an unfinished collection attempt from a problem you may need to report.

07

Finish the mission before stretching the search

Prioritize the mission when the Collector is under attack or your team has not established defenses. After the required objective is complete, Launch Prep still involves defending the Collector through the final attack. Return and board when instructed instead of starting another search as departure approaches.
